Title: Painting Animals Location: 14068 RR 12 Level: Beg - Adv Dates: April, 2nd -5th

Karen Bonnie: Any landscape painter will extoll the virtues of painting their subject first, en plein air. In equine painter Karen Bonnie's workshop, you will be challenged to do quick paintings from live horse and cow models as well as some beautiful landscape settings, which when combined will serve as reference for completed paintings in the studio under Karen's guidance.
Color theory and design elements will be reviewed and incorporated during studio time. To learn horse muscular and skeletal anatomy and how it relates to movement, we will work outdoors from live models, and in the studio from a fiberglass model and photographs. Class will be limited to a small group, so Karen can spend adequate one-on-one time with you while concentrating on your specific goals. You will take home several finished paintings and, with daily critiques and demos, a clearer understanding of how to paint convincing equine and bovine subjects in an appealing setting. Join us this Spring in the lush Texas Hill Country while the bluebonnetts are in bloom for a fun and educational 5 days! Karen's work can be found in:
