Anne Blair Brown:

Keep It Real: React and Reflect.............

ABB Light the Way

Learn to react in the field and reflect in the studio.
This workshop is for the artist who wants to experience the joys of plein air painting while taking their studio work to the next level. The fun and informative 4 days will be a combination of lecture, studio time, and painting on location. Anne will show you step by step how to capture a moment outdoors and interpret that information indoors. The fundamentals of design, value, and color harmony will be covered at length. Emphasis will be placed on content, simplification, color mixing, and solid design. Expressive brushwork and confident paint application will be encouraged. Plenty of individualized instruction will be provided to help each student reach their personal goals.

Additional focus will be placed on confident paint application, loose brushwork, and personal expression. Discussions will include detailed information about portable equipment, supplies, and travel. Anne will work with each student in achieving their personal goals.
Outdoor painting experience helpful.
